Duo Solista returns for a concert ranging from dramatic solo works to grand chamber music. Bach’s solo violin writing is complemented by Ysaye’s ‘Ballade’ Sonata, and his Chromatic Fantasie and Fugue for piano is contrasted with Liszt’s Three Concert Etudes. The Duo is joined after intermission by the Zabaglione String Quartet for one of the finest piano sextets ever written, Chausson’s rousing Concert.
